• WineStudio cellars offer true custom fixtures, made to order by us at our custom mill work location in upstate New York. Our commitment to the finest in materials and workmanship yields the highest possible quality in our cellars, which are notable for their beauty as well as their durability.
  • Our cellars are outfitted with custom hardwood racks, solid 1 ½” hardwood countertops, and solid wood furniture for which we recommend white oak. Racks and island pieces are precision-cut and drilled, assembled with hard wood dowels rather than nails, then stained and dipped in a marine varnish.

  • Masonry floors, walls and ceiling offer beauty and function in the wine cellar.

  • LED lighting minimizes heat produced by electrical fixtures. (We will have to get some photos from the cellar we are building now)

  • We make WineStudio cellars’ cooling passive to the extent a location will allow it. This saves energy and minimizes the likelihood of wine being damaged by a rapid temperature spike in the event of a power failure. We employ insulation and other strategies that take advantage of cooling from foundation walls and cellar floors and minimize penetration of warmth. Cellar walls, both interior and exterior, are constructed and insulated to achieve an R-19 or better insulation level. A continuous vapor barrier prevents migration of moisture into the cellar from outside walls and out of the cellar via interior partitions.
